Our History

Rosendo and Charlotte Elizondo were two amazing people who raised nine children here in Minnesota. Rosendo was a WWII veteran and Charlotte was a loving mother and friend. Rosendo and Charlotte have always been the inspiration to our big and beautiful family. They taught us to value hard work, respect, family, and most importantly, helping others. We feel very blessed to have such a large healthy family and want to give back as much as we can. This is the motivation for starting our foundation and working to increase the positive impact our family has on the world around us.

The Rosendo and Charlotte Elizondo Charitable Foundation is a newly established 501c3 non-profit that works to raise money to donate to charities that align with our mission statement. Our foundation started as a family effort to give back to the world around us. Over ten years ago, we made the decision to stop buying each other Christmas presents and to hold an auction instead where family members could donate items to be auctioned off to other family members and all profits were donated to charity. As our family grew and we started raising more money, we realized we have the potential to do a lot more good in our surrounding communities.

In 2017 we established the Rosendo and Charlotte Elizondo Charitable Foundation and opened up our annual auction to invited guests outside the family and we were able to raise even more money to donate. Over the past ten years, our family and our foundation has donated its profits from the annual auction. Here are some of the charities we have donated to: The Hudson Food Bank, Feed My Starving Children, The American Cancer Society, The National Alzheimer’s Association, the Multiple Sclerosis Association, The Minneapolis Sandwich Project, and Food for the Poor.
